I’m a woman in my early thirties and an ex-Evangelical Christian. After being homeschooled until I went off to Evangelical college, I’m looking for social connection among other people who are skeptical of organized religion. My best friend in the whole world is my pet turtle, who has stuck with me through thick and thin since January of 2014. I was indoctrinated to believe that there could be no meaning or purpose in life outside of Jesus but my turtle seems to have no problem finding either. Unfortunately my turtle and I are separated for the moment while I work on my mental health, but he is doing great being doted on at his auntie’s house. My first post got a little convoluted, but I did my best to go into more detail there. My goal with this blog is to document my journey and hopefully get to connect with some cool people along the way!
